Renovation of a 1920’s row home in the Glebe. Duplexed in the 1950’s, the 1100 square foot residence was returned to a single unit. The project involved reconfiguring important living spaces to allow greater light penetration and ease of movement while retaining original detailing.
Selected Green Design Strategies:
- 90 percent structural material re-use within existing structure
- low maintenance landscape design that featured a 100 square foot herb garden, shade tolerant native plants, and drought tolerant ground cover
